Current Build Site:
Our current home building job site is at a large lot on McFarland Road in the town of Oneonta, NY.
Volunteers are welcome to help us at the job site! Learn more about how volunteers can get involved.
Directions to McFarland Road, Oneonta:
Take State Route 205 north to the McFarland Road site, which is on the left 0.9 miles from the light where Route 23 turns left to West Oneonta.
Home Accessibility and Safety Program:
Habitat for Humanity of Otsego County supports a Home Accessibility and Safety Program (HASP). HASP focuses on assisting local residents with accessibility issues in and around their home. Examples of HASP projects include building ramps on the interior or exterior of the home and minor home repairs that ensure safety. HASP began in 2017 and we have helped many local residents and organizations in Otsego County thus far.
HASP is currently on hold for 2024 pending new volunteers. We need people with carpentry or building skills. The time commitment isn’t demanding – a few hours per month. If you are interested in helping with these programs, please email us at habitatotsego@gmail.com or call 607-432-7874 .
